What BAD luck!
Sunday, August 28, 2005
Previously, I entered a writing competition.
The days dragged on as I waited for the results for the next 6 months. As time flew, I was getting more and more disatisfied with my entry. There seemed to be many mistakes in my entry and I was dumping my confidence into the dustbin( Meaning:I lost my confidence).
Two weeks ago, I received an e-mail that set my heart racing. The link was "Notification of RESULTS". When I opened the e-mail, my first word was...
"Huarry!" ( Please read on...)
I have to wait till 26th August for the results. Ha Ha! ( this writer is sulking).
Today I checked my e-mail and ...
I did not receive any e-mail.
Now i am really discouraged.
To see how I fare although I didn't win ...
That will be on 1st September.
Hope I did a OKAy job.
And my results did not put my hopes on a bird and fly away...

A Poem Dedicated to My Mother
Tuesday, August 09, 2005

I wrote this poem for Mother's Day.
This poem describes the sufferings
mothers gone through in bringing us up.
I hope you people will not take things for granted.
Appreciate what you have and
You will not live your life with regrets.
In January 1986
A pregnant woman named Ivy went into labour
She spent 24 hours trying to give birth
But her baby still hid in her stomach
The baby came out on 17th of the month as the first
Ivy later decided not to have any more babies
As her first baby, Jan Had asthma
From nursery to primary school
Jan admitted hospital every month
Poor Ivy spent her days feeding her medicine and buns
Jan was naughty and always gives her trouble while having fun
When Jan entered secondary school
She thought it was cool to be No. 1 in class
Jan pressured herself and cries when she fails to reach her goal
Ivy comforted her but secretly wail
Since she hate to see her princess use her eyes to drool
Now Jan was 19 and knew Ivy’s trouble
And decided to make up to her by double
She wants to give Ivy a good life
By having a swimming pool full of hundred dollar bills to dive in
All Jan can do now is nothing much
She only can say she loves her mummy very much
Happy Mother’s Day, Mummy
I hope you won’t think me as a blur dummy
