The Moving Finger
Jerry Burton had hurt his back and his doctor advised him to recuperate at a quiet small town. Jerry picked Lymstock and together with his sister, Joanna rented a house there.
What seemed to be a quiet peaceful town was covered with shameful secrets, as a poison pen writer had sent letters to many of its residents, full of nonsense and hatred.
Then came Mrs. Symmington’s suicide which had turned a minor affair to a major affair. Everyone blamed the poison pen writer and the police are determined to find him/her out. Suddenly, no one trusted anyone anymore.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Symmington’s daughter, Megan and Jerry became friends and the former was invited to stay at the latter’s house. Megan was usually ignored by her family (her mother, her stepfather-Mr. Symmington and her 2 stepbrothers).
About a week later, the maid of the Symmingtons household was missing. Jerry had an gut feeling that the maid was dead. Megan found the corpse of the maid.
The case then turned from poison pen prank to murder. Miss Marple was certain Mrs. Symmington was killed too.
At the same time, Jerry’s sister, Joanna and a doctor, Owen Griffith, got more intimate.
On the way to his trip to London, Jerry grabbed Megan and took her for a make-over, which turned the Cinderella into a princess he himself was surprised.
As Jerry and Megan stepped closer to the truth, is there unknown danger to the both of them?
