Criminal Intent by Wong Kim Hoh

Criminal Intent is a collection of interviews with 12 offenders serving time in prison. It covers various type of crimes, i.e. cheating, theft, molest, rape and abuse.
Some of the offenders were victims of drug abuse while others were victims of greed. Many would like to turn a new leaf, unless circumstances “forced” them back to their old ways.
Crime cannot be tolerated, but what is important is that one is willing to turn a new leaf.

This book contains 4 tales in which the famous Hercule Poirot solves the baffling mysteries using his little grey cells.
How did a woman holding a pistol in her right hand shoot herself in the left temple?
What was the connection between a ghost sighting and the disappearance of top military plans?
How did the bullet that killed the eccentric Sir Gervase Chevenix-Gore shatter a mirror in the other part of the moon?
And should the beautiful Valentine Chantry flee for her life from the holiday life of Rhodes and the ever more complicated love triangle she has created there?
I enjoyed the stories as there is always a twist to the ending of the story.

Inventor Sir Claud Amory is in dismay when the formula for his powerful new explosive is stolen by someone he had invited to stay in his own house.
Who would steal the secret formula? Everyone is as guilty as innocent. No one could guess whodunit-it was a perfect crime. Almost perfect, until the famous Hercule Poirot uses his little grey cells and eliminates the suspects one by one.
I am surprised by the ending and how Agatha Christie brings the readers into suspecting everyone and gradually to the very thief when the readers gasp in excitement.
