Removing Tonsils Days 1 to 3 (dated 9 October 2009)
Saturday, October 17, 2009
Two days ago, I went to the hospital with a sick feeling in my stomach. No, there is nothing wrong with my stomach. I was there to remove my tonsils. Ha, I knew you think that it's nothing. But it was something big for me, I had never been through an operation.
The operation came and went like the wind. I was given an anesthetics jab and passed out within 5 seconds. When I woke up, I had a sore feeling. Moving my mouth slowly, I could feel pain. I had no desire to eat or drink anything till evening. It was so painful to eat or drink anything.
I was practically sleeping all the time in the hospital as I was exhausted. I was glad to go home yesterday at noon. It was boring. I tried to talk but I could not speak clearly and no one can understand me. As for the medicine, yucks! I had to pound the medicine into powder and mix with water. What a horrible taste!
Today, I can speak more clearly and it is easier for me to eat my porridge. The pain is more bearable today and I can finally swallow the tablet medicine bit by bit. That is better than liquid medicine.
I hope I can speak when I see my surgery doctor on Thursday.
